Why we do what we do!
The Steam Guy doesn’t cut corners; we clean them out! Since 1993 we determined to serve Thunder Bay and surrounding communities, offering re-certification and cleaning of commercial kitchens by reducing the risk of fire and removing the accumulation of grease in the kitchen exhaust system.
We ensure that it stays compliant to NFPA fire code which is essential for your kitchen’s overall safety and hygiene as required by your inspectors. How are we able to keep your system NFPA compliant? By HOT spraying, scraping, and treating your system – whether it be the hoods, ducting, filters and roof/wall fans or the fire suppression system.
After 30 years of continuing education and accumulated experience, we are still focused on providing a personalized, high quality and reliable service every time. When cooking in a high or low volume kitchen, inevitable contaminants deposit in the kitchen exhaust system. The sole purpose of the exhaust system is to pull out most airborne grease, fumes and smoke away from the cooking surface. Some systems, depending on how they are built, have ‘harder to reach’ areas where they lack accessibility. This may require the installation of access panels/doors or fan hinge kits, making it possible for us to get in deep to ensure that we deliver a thorough clean throughout the entire system.
By keeping your kitchen exhaust cleaning in compliance with NFPA code you are ensuring a safer, efficient and healthier kitchen environment. This is mandated and governed by NFPA, enforced by your local AHJ (Fire Department, Health Inspections, Insurance Brokers, etc.) and required by your municipality on your business license inspection.
